Best Gameday Recipes

I have to admit that I am not a huge sports fan. I’ll wait a minute while my family picks themselves off the floor where they fell over laughing.
However, I know everyone else is, so I always have a few recipes that will make everyone happy; the die hard fans, and then, more importantly, me because I’m sure I am paying way more attention to the food than anyone else is. I also want things that I can make ahead or are so ridiculously easy that they are no-brainers.
One of my current favorites is my 7 Layer Greek Dip which is only 6 layers (I can’t lie) but what’s a layer among friends? It’s basically a roasted red pepper chickpea hummus elevated by the addition of fresh herbs and Roasted Garlic
I top that with a layer of pureed lemon scented cannellini beans, then lots of chopped green onions, tomatoes, feta and optional olives.

I love to serve this with my Up Your Pita Game pita bread, but you can absolutely use store bought crispy pita chips if you want to make things even easier. I love the combination of the warm pita and the cold dip. You can make several of the pitas ahead of time, wrap them in foil and keep them in a 200 (warm) oven until you are ready to serve. I wouldn’t cut them until you are ready to serve them, and you can stack them and cut several at once.
Another popular recipe that will be great to make is my Sheet Pan Loaded Nachos They are also super easy to make and you can prep it all ahead of time and assemble at the last minute for a quick and easy addition to your table. Both of these dishes have the added bonus of being chock full of protein as well as flavor. They will fill you up with healthy fiber as well as flavor.
Enjoy these fan favorites this weekend or anytime you want a healthy snacking option that can double as a meal!
